Being’s Supper Club — The Pizza Set
Eight to ten guests, one long table at my home in Lillie Square, and a plant-based menu cooked in the Pure Diet style. No animal products, no alliums, no alcohol. Food made to nourish.
The Pizza Set is my love letter to Italy, reimagined. We begin with a “tuna” tartare and seared tempeh with spring asparagus. Then the oven opens: Vegeronni hot from the stone, aubergine parmigiana layered slowly through the afternoon, a bright basil pesto to tie them together. Chicory with tzatziki on the side. Fresh herbal tea throughout. To finish, a Basque cheesecake — slightly burnt on top, soft in the middle, quietly steals the evening.
Courses come out one at a time, with space between them for conversation to breathe. No agenda, no icebreakers. Guests arrive as strangers and leave a little quieter than they came, in the good way.
