Murgh bombay masala- chicken on and off the bone with added capsicum and chickpeas, pilau rice, naan,

- •600 grams chicken thighs or breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- •2 tbsp vegetable oil or ghee
- •2 items medium onions, finely chopped
- •1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- •400 grams canned chopped tomatoes or tomato purée
- •1 cup cooked chickpeas (canned, rinsed and drained)
- •1 items green bell pepper (capsicum), diced
- •1 tsp ground cumin
- •1 tsp ground coriander
- •0.5 tsp turmeric powder
- •1 tsp Kashmiri chili powder (or paprika for less heat)
- •1 tsp garam masala
- •1.5 cups Basmati rice
- •0.25 tsp turmeric (for rice color)
- •2 tbsp plain yogurt or sour cream (for garnish)
- •0.25 cup fresh coriander (cilantro), chopped
- •2 items naan bread (store-bought or homemade)
