  • 1 large handful fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 fat dollops butter
  • 1 heaping spoonful all-purpose flour
  • 1 generous swig whole milk
  • 1 heavy handful shredded sharp white cheddar cheese
  • 1 drizzle vegetable oil
  • 1 pinch salt and black pepper
