gluten free honey soy chicken thigh with rice and veg(some)

A honey, soy and garlic Chinese style sauce, over baked chicken thighs (skin on-bone removed) and some white rice. Alongside some stir fried shallots and peppers (everyone else got to the veg before me…) All gluten free, only ingredients for non-gf people is the soy sauce and sometimes the Chinese 5 spice.

  • 4 fillets chicken thighs, skin-on and bone removed
  • 1 mug white rice (jasmine or long grain)
  • 2 mugs water
  • 3 large handfuls shallots or onions, peeled and sliced into wedges
  • 1 handful red bell pepper, sliced into strips
  • 1 good swig Tamari or gluten-free soy sauce
  • 1 generous squeeze honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pinch gluten-free Chinese 5 spice powder
  • 1 splash vegetable oil
  • 1 sprinkle sesame seeds
