  • 300 g sushi rice (short-grain white rice)
  • 350 ml water
  • 4 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 5 sheets nori (roasted seaweed)
  • 200 g sushi-grade fresh salmon, sliced into long strips
  • 1 whole avocado, sliced into strips
  • 0.5 whole cucumber, deseeded and cut into thin batons
  • 1 whole red bell pepper, sliced (optional, as seen in prep image)
  • 1 bottle soy sauce, for dipping
