  • 1 generous bundle thick yellow wheat noodles (Tai Lok Mee)
  • 1 handful sliced pork belly or chicken breast
  • 6 pieces medium prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 1 fistful cabbage, roughly chopped
  • 1 puddle rendered lard or peanut oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 heavy glugs dark soy sauce (for color and sweetness)
  • 1 splash light soy sauce
  • 1 dollop oyster sauce
  • 2 ladles rich chicken or pork stock
  • 1 pinch white pepper
  • 1 sprinkle crispy lard fritters (chu yau char)
